If Tom Robinson would have been found innocent it would have turned the town upside down. The news would have spread so fast, by the time Atticus walked out the court someone on his street would have come to talk to him about. That scenerio could have negative outcomes as well. Bob Ewell's hate for colored people could lead him into a drunken rage. He could take his anger out on his children, especially Mayella, or he could go after Tom Robinson himself. That could result in either Tom getting seriously hurt or killed or his wife and kids killed as well. A totally different scenerio could be that when Tom is found innocent, it could be a turning point for the colored people in Maycomb County. Now, whenever they find themselves being falsely accused of something they could have a fighting chance. Tom Robinson's case could give them hope for their case too.
If Atticus had listened to Alexandra and fired Calpurnia, it would take a toll on Scout and Jem. Jem is already going through changes and this one could bring on more rage than he already has. With this rage, he could channel it towards Alexandra since she's the one that wanted it that way. Also, because Jem is angry with her and Scout loved her just as much as he did, she now has rage towards Alexandra too. Also, because Jem is her big brother she wants to agree with him all the time.
If Mayella Ewell would have had a change of heart during the trial and confessed the truth, then things could have turned out for the better. She would have had sympathy for Tom's family, the kids losing a father and his wife losing her husband. Then, once she admits what her father does to her and what he did that night, then her and her siblings could be moved somewhere where they are safe. Then, Bob Ewell would be put on trial.

I think these questions might have had a chance in the trial.

Bravery and Courage
I think that bravery and courage are sort of the same. Having courage is having a characteristic that lets you do certain things that not many other people are willing to do. Bravery is doing things that other people might not have the courage to do. These two things you do even if other people do not agree with it or think they are the right thing to do. I think the character with the most courage and bravery in To Kill A Mockingbird is Atticus Finch. He had the bravery to accept a case that he knew he would be shuned for in his small town. He also had the courage to keep going with it after he has been called so many names and his children are picked on. Even after all that, at the end of the day Scout and Jem are the ones he is doing this for.
In real life I admire soldiers in the army. They have both major bravery and courage. They risk their lives to defend the country we live in. Most of all, they fight for their own families. Even though the families do not want them to leave, they know that it is the right thing. No matter what the people that are against army violence say, those in the army still know what they are doing is right. I applaud them because not many people have the courage or bravery to put their lives on the line for other lives.
