Chris and his brother John have very different views of school. John may not be the best at home but he definately is better in school than Chris. Chris gets decent grades. They're not terrible, but they're not the best they could possibly be. It's not that he doesn't care about his future at all. We all learn at different paces. Chis cares what he becomes in the future, he just needs more motivation.
My attitude towards school is alright I guess. I really don't want to be there or in classes learning but I do it anyway. Even if I don't want to do the work they give us I still do it. No matter how I feel about school, my grades are still very good. My future is very important to me. That's why I would never do anything to jeopardize it. I hope to accomplice all my goals in life. Even if that means I have to finish three more years of school : /.

Talking with "Gawd"
When Chris would have his conversations with God, he was very young. Young enough to not know that "Esus" wasn't really a person. Too young to know that his brother clearly just made it up to save his own self from punishment. He actually kept his Esus Saves sign to prove that he actually believed his brother. Religion, you could tell was still important to him. Even if he did believe in Esus, he stilled talked to God every night. I bet he would soon learn the truth. When I first learned about God and Jesus, I didn't know much either. Just like Chris I listened to what my church teacher told me. I learned for myself too. I definately knew Jesus didn't have a less famous brother. I prayed in church, at home, and before I ate my food. My religion was very important to me. I didn't want anything more than to do right by it. For these two years of being a Christian it has molded all of the beliefs I have today. I believe that if I stay saved and do right and pray I will one day go to heaven.
Cry Baby
Chris found a way to get over his anger.Like every other five or four year old he would cry when things went wrong. It kind of benefitted him better. Things didn't get broken and no one got hurt. He did unfortunately get angry alot. That means he cried... a lot. His dad would get mad and threaten to give him "something to cry about". So actually, crying didn't benefit him that much.
When I would cry, my mom would say the same to me. That got me to stop crying. Now that I look back, my crying was completely useless. I would only cry when I didn't get something I wanted or when I had to eat something I didn't want to eat. All I had to do was let it go. Now, when I don't get what I want I just get a little tiny bit angry. In the end I just let it go. I don't need to cry about those problems anymore.

First Crush
Chris' first crush was on Paula Whitson. He would literally do any thing to get her to notice him. He's known her for basicly his whole life. He doesn't want anything more than for her to notice him and be his girlfriend. He's always felt emotions for her. She just doesn't seem to notice him. That only makes his determination bigger.
With my first crush it was basiclly the same. All you wanted was for that person to notice you. In the process you start to have feelings for that person. You just hope that they feel the same. If they didn't it felt like your whole world ended. Its hard to get rid of those feelings. Chris was one of those people that didn't give up on his feelings.

Childhood Temper
As a child, Chris' temper always came out on top. He would get mad and punch things or bang his head against the side of the bath tub. When I was younger I would do one thing to get over it. I would bite things all the time. My stuffed animals some of the times. Or, I would bite any piece of paper I could find. The most frequent one was that i would bite the door knob to my bed room door. Any door knob was okay, but it was mostly mine. When I would get mad the first place I would go was straight to my room to bite something. I would just bite anything. My bed, my sheets and cover, my pillows, my toys, pencils, pens, and just anything near by. Basiclly, when I got mad I was a biter. I've gotten over that throughout the years.
I would get in trouble for my bad habit. When I was done with my rage, things would be wreck. I would get an attitude and not talk to anyone. I didn't want to talk so I would just give everyone dirty looks. The consequences of my actions were always bad. Either something would be taken away or I would be grounded, also known as "lockdown". It was mostly both. I would get on lockdown and no watching TV. Sometimes I would get in big trouble then it was nothing electronic at all and I was on lockdown. Over the years I have definately gotten over my anger issues.

Im Baaaccckkkk!
I'm back from first quarter blogs. I got a very good grade for my blogs. My grade was a 95 out of 100. I only missed two points. That's actually really good. I thought I got a worst grade than that. It said i explained the book very well. My pictures, music, and paragraphs provided an "in depth explanation" of my book. I also did a "Great Job!!!" on my spelling and grammar. The only thing I did wrong was i missed a short story element in my elements blog. Overall on the blog i did well. On my Animoto video I got a 27 out of 30. I only missed three points. I guess thats okay. It's because i got a 4 out of 6 on one of the categories. It was the one on whether i made the students want to read the book. I guess i could've done better on that. Other than that I'm happy with the grade I got.
I still feel the same as I did the first time I talked about blogging. It's not really my thing. I think it's kind of a waste of time. Also, not a lot of people are going to read this anyway. Oh well, this is for grade. I need to do it for my grade because I need to bring it up. Back on topic, my thoughts haven't really changed on the subject.
I'm blogging again for my second quarter grade. We are reading another book called King of the Mild Frontier by Chris Crutcher. It is an autobiography. He appearantly knows the answer to a lot of strange question. It is mostly about his life as a boy. He is described as a "date-less, broken-toothed,
God-fearing dweeb". I can assume by the descriptions and the "dweeb" at the end, he was not the coolest kid around. That makes me wonder why the title is "King" of the Mild Frontier. I haven't read the book yet. I'm suppose to read a few pages but I didn't...yet. I looked forward to reading about how he was treating and what he did in his spare time. I wonder this because on the back of the book he knows the answers to the very wierd questions. I guess I will see when we read.

Elements...
Characters:
My main character is Thomas. He is the newest member of the Glade. All attention seems to be on him. The only person against him is Gally. Gally seems to know Thomas from somewhere but doesn't know where. He instist that Thomas is the bad guy. Chuck, Thomas' new friend, came right before Thomas did. Minho, the leader of the runners, is also a friend of Thomas. Thomas saved him and Alby, head of all of the Glade, from the maze.
Setting:
The setting of this story is in the middle of a giant, stone maze.
Point of View:
The story is in Thomas' point of view. He is a protagonist. He is trying to help all the other boys figure out how to get out of the maze.
Conflict:
The conflict is man vs. man. In many ways. Thomas has to deal with Gally all the time because he thinks Thomas is the bad guy. Thomas and all the other boys have to deal with the people who sent them there.

Comments :D
These are the things I said in classmate's blogs:
Atley Green: The pictures were cool. They really went with you descriptions underneath. You made it seem like a really good book. I might actually try to read it. I think you described the book very well. You make me wonder what goes on in the book.
Kary Ostos: It was nice to read about you. I know why you're making a blog now. I think your English teacher is doing a good job with this assignment. It teaches you how to blog in the process. It seems like you're putting a lot of effert into it. Keep up the good work.
Kenzie Tyler: You have a nice blog. Your title "A girl, a beast, and a bad deal" was a really good title idea. I look forward to seeing your future post. You have a very creative way of doing your blog. Keep up the good work. Plus, I liked your pictures.

Mood Music
http://www.classicalconnect.com/music/4875
This is the music i picked to represent my book. The song is called "Big Elegy to John Cage". It is composed by Sergy Akhunov. This composition is made up of three different instruments. The instruments in this song are a violin, cello, and fortepiano. It is mix a different expressions. It starts off slow then the pace fastens. That is what it is like in my book. The suspense increases then it dies down. This happens often and frequent.
I chose this song because it also represents the main character, Thomas. Ever since he has got to the Glade his has had many mixed emotions. He is still confused after all he has learned and still has more to learn. Not to mention he's scared, sometimes angry, sad, and others that probably don't show. This songs sounds like all those emotions mixed together. In someway this is like Thomas' theme song while he's here. The song sounds somewhat happy, while sounding sad, angry, and it gives you suspense.

Welcome to Maze Runner!
This is the book cover of Maze Runner.
This book is a mystery story so it keeps you wondering.
They have people from the Glade called Runners. They run the maze everyday to try to find a way out.

Throughout the story Thomas is slowly getting his memory back but he is starting to feel comfortable at the Glade. Its like he belongs there.
This is the author of my book. His name is James Dashner.
The setting of my book takes place in a giant maze.
This book is a mystery story so it keeps you wondering.
The main character Thomas lost his memory, just like everyone.
Thomas has already made one enemy, even though he has never met Gally, he insists that he has seen Thomas somewhere.
Thomas has also only made one friend.
The Glade has everything they need for survival, such as food, water, clothes, electricity, ect.
The Glade has a farm for animals.
The Glade has a forest.
Inside the forest is where they keep the graveyard.
Inside the maze, at night a creature comes out called a Griever.
The people that sent the boys to the Glade watch them with little mechanical machines with glowing red eyes. It looks like a silver lizard with six legs.
They have people from the Glade called Runners. They run the maze everyday to try to find a way out.
Everyday when they get back they immediately go inside to make a map of where they ran before they forget eveything.

The Glade is a maze, but the walls are tall.
The doors that let you into the maze are also big. Everynight after the runners come back the slide closed.
There are still many things that people wont tell Thomas. He thinks that they are keeping secrets from him and he wants to figure them out.
He is still trying to figure out what the words and phrases they use mean.
Throughout the story Thomas is slowly getting his memory back but he is starting to feel comfortable at the Glade. Its like he belongs there.

Maze Runner
My name is Chardonnay Bennett. I am a freshman at Carbondale Community High School. My english teacher is Ms. Hayes. I am reading Maze Runner by James Dashner. I chose this book because it was a mystery and it seemed interesting to read. So far in the book the main character Thomas has woken up in a dark box. He doesn't know how he got there or why he's there. In fact, the only thing he can remember is his name. He doesnt even know how old he is. He calls for help n the box opens. He gets out to find himself surrounded by a group of boys that vary in age. He doesnt know any of them. As he meets them he starts to see that they are hiding something. They use language that he's never heard or understands. He makes an enemy named Gally and a friend named Chuck. He has only been there for a few hours to find out he is in the middle of a maze. Also a boy named Ben has gotten "stung" and Thomas is trying to figure out why. He is trying to figure out many things but no one will tell him. He has much to find out.
